La Bella Donna
Undoubtedly one of our favorite Love Notions patterns is an oldie, but a goodie — the La Bella Donna top. We’ve made this versatile pattern many times in many ways — as a top, tunic, dress, with a cowl, with a scoop neck, short sleeved, long sleeved…
Canyon Cardigan
Another favorite is the Canyon Cardigan. This was one of the first cardigan patterns we made, and we love all the options it includes!
We both made this cardigan with a beautiful flowy top — isn’t Mac’s purple version to die for?
Rhapsody Blouse
This was not a pattern that we tested, but Katie immediately loved its loose boho vibe. The Rhapsody Blouse makes a comfortable but elegant blouse for just about any occasion. She has worn this blouse for both work and casually, and felt perfectly dressed for both!
We also loooooove all the sleeve options on the pattern! All those sleeves make for virtually limitless blouse options.
Terra Tunic
The Terra Tunic is a classic, versatile sweater. Like so many Love Notions patterns, it is chock full with options to change up the look and style of this top.
Mac learned so many new skills testing this top, too, one of the reasons we both love testing! Can you believe that she sewed her first welt pockets on knit fabric, like the welt pockets on this mustard Terra Tunic?
Laundry Day Tee
No discussion of Love Notions patterns could be complete without talking about the Laundry Day Tee! The women’s version of the Laundry Day Tee (or LDT) is a free pattern to members of the Love Notions Facebook group, and it’s a cult favorite in the Facebook sewing world.
The girls version is equally amazing! Katie’s daughter is quite picky when it comes to clothes, but this Lil’ LDT may be her favorite mama-made garment ever!
Oakley Vest
We love a good Mama-and-Me look as much as the next moms out there, and it’s quite convenient that Love Notions makes most of their patterns in both women and girl sizes.
Mac made the Oakley Vest for both her and her daughter so they could twin it up. Aren’t they darling?
Vanguard Set
We sew mostly women’s patterns, but Love Notions also has a nice selection of modern basics for boys, including the Vanguard Kit.
Katie used the top from the Vanguard Kit to make this top for her son a couple of years ago. It’s a great twist on a basic tee.
